Hi from Tulsa!
Trust you had a Merry Christmas and are looking forward to a special new year.
How was 2015 for a fast year? It was difficult keeping track of which month it was sometimes. Maybe that had something to do with all the airplanes, hotels, cities and countries we visited. It has been a productive year and we are very thankful.
What in the World is Going On?
We live in a fast-paced, fast-changing world. The news is full of bad news and people are desperate. Violence and terrorism have caused great hardship to many, political corruption is ruining societies, religious deception is keeping people in darkness. Surprised? We shouldn't be but the changes themselves are still weird. It hurts to see nations and societies going in the wrong direction.
In 2 Timothy 3:1 it says: "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come." We are certainly living in the last days of this dispensation, so what do we do?
This is why we must all stand strong and be a light in this time. There is Hope for the hopeless, Help for those in need, Truth for the deceived, Protection for the abused, Healing for those in pain and Good News for those who haven't heard. If we need to make changes in our lives to better help and reach people then let's be strong enough to make the necessary changes.
Hi from Germany,
Life is Interesting
Life is interesting, in many respects really. When you think back over your life so far, did you envision it all going the way it did? I sure didn’t. All I knew about my future work life when I was about 12 was that I didn’t want a boring job. That has worked out better than expected. I certainly never saw myself/ourselves living overseas for the past 22 years. How would I describe these past 22 years? Overall, great! Like anything in life, it would be easy to complain about some aspects but it would all be minor in light of why we came and what we are still doing. Our lives have been challenged and enriched by all the people we know today. Didn’t know what to expect family-wise but I got far better than I imagined. Michelle and I somehow ended up with 3 kids who are smarter, more talented, and wiser than we were at their age. All of this makes us look forward to the next 20+ years. Thanks to so many of you who have been a part of our lives.
