What in the World is Going On?
We live in a fast-paced, fast-changing world. The news is full of bad news and people are desperate. Violence and terrorism have caused great hardship to many, political corruption is ruining societies, religious deception is keeping people in darkness. Surprised? We shouldn't be but the changes themselves are still weird. It hurts to see nations and societies going in the wrong direction.
In 2 Timothy 3:1 it says: "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come." We are certainly living in the last days of this dispensation, so what do we do?
This is why we must all stand strong and be a light in this time. There is Hope for the hopeless, Help for those in need, Truth for the deceived, Protection for the abused, Healing for those in pain and Good News for those who haven't heard. If we need to make changes in our lives to better help and reach people then let's be strong enough to make the necessary changes.
Oslo, Norway RHEMA Europe Conference
At the end of May we had a conference in Oslo. It was really our first Europe-wide conference in all the years we have been in Europe. Oslo might seem like a strange place to have this but it was the right place. We had such favor in everything and it was broadcast live over Norwegian Christian TV, recorded and will be sent out to other Christian stations around Europe. This will give us great exposure throughout the continent and be a great advertisement for the Bible Schools.
Here is one from a session I did on the opening morning.

Currently 38 campuses are operating in 13 nations in Europe and we continue to work on areas of expansion. We believe that what we are offering is good and necessary for every nation in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. There are countless testimonies of lives changed and transformed from current and former students, let's keep adding others who's lives will be changed.
A Change for Us
Expansion of Office to Include London
It's been over 22 years since we moved to Germany. Our kids have grown up here and we have been blessed in every area of life and ministry. With the kids all living in the U.S. now we decided to move out of the hosue in Bonn we have been in for 16 years. We did so at the end of May and what a project that was. So many things to go through, move, carry and throw away. Sure wish the kids had been around to HELP. During this process we were looking for an apartment but jsut didn't have peace to keep going in this direction. When that happens it is wise to stop and look at options. We checked our heart with some choices including moving back to the U.S. but that didn't seem right. We had talked some about expanding our offices to London a few times and when we went this direction again it seemed like the right one. We sat on this awhile to make sure and we settled that this was the right move. So, sometime early next year we will make the move. In the meantime, there are visas and other legal and paperwork that need to be done.
We will continue to work out of Germany, but more of our time will be spent in London.
The expansion will be for the oversight of Europe, Africa and Middle East RBTC Campuses, Church Planting, Book Projects and a few other things. We will be building a new team for the most part, setting up offices and finding a place to live as soon as paperwork is complete.
Our team in Germany is strong, in a good place and ready to make any adjustments necessary.
It would have been nice to move someplace less expensive but that doesn't seem to be the deal. As you can imagine, the London area is quite expensive. We have some new team members that will be moving from outside England also and it would be good to help them financially with the move as much as possible. Best estimate so far for all the moving, office set-up including space and equipment, legal work... will be over $125,000. If you have some extra sitting around and you were wondering what to do with it; this would be a good place to plant it, or just plant a seed because we are good, proven ground.
Over the past 30 years or so everything we have been involved in has grown and the Kingdom of God has expanded. We believe this move is part of the most fruitful season of our lives and the lives of our partners. We are excited to see it all unfold. Thank you so much for being a part of our lives and this journey of changing countless lives. Building the church together is a great privilege and we look forward to many more years of fruitful service.
Please pray for us as we move forward. There are always a few surprises along the way and some wrinkles to iron out. A year from now we will have a good report about God's faithfulness in this move and the set-up in the London area.
Directors Meetings in Europe and Africa
Besides all of the regular activities, coming up we have Director's meetings in Germany and Zambia. These are annual meetings where we discuss business, best practices, pray with each other and have some fun.
Yes, Missionaries have kids that get married. Zack and Spencer are both engages. Zack is engages to Cassidy Brown and their wedding date is TBA, Spencer and Sarah McAllan from Australia have a date of October 24th, 2015. We are looking forward to this for them and us as a family.
I believe there are assignments from Heaven that every person should do. So, what are we willing to pay? What step of faith will it require just to get started? We have certainly done some things and made some steps when the circumstances said "Don't", but when we followed the leading on the inside we always see good results.
In Your life, what leading do you need to follow? What step do you need to take? These are life-changing moments for you but also for people in your lives.
The key to everything = God's Word.
We Can Make the World a Better Place!
Action Items to Help Change the World
Start with YOU - but don't stay there. Look for ways to get involved with others who have accepted the challenge to "GO".
Here is how you could get involved more with us and our teams:
- You can pray for us and our teams all over the world
- Consider partnering financially, monthly or with a project
- Do you have an idea?
3 John 1:8 (NLT) "So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth."
Rev 3:11 (NKJV) "Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown."
These may be perilous times but they are also exciting and opportunistic times.
As always, Thanks!
