Happy New Year!
A New Year can bring new possibilities. If you are a steady and growing person, then keep doing the things that have kept you on this path. But also, reach out for more. Challenge yourself. If you find yourself in trouble often, then 2019 is a year to make some new choices that will keep you out of trouble. God is always available to help and so are we if we can. We aren’t omniscient or omnipresent like He is, but sometimes we can help.
I want to encourage you to Reflect on 2018 and before. Reflection is necessary to get the most out of an experience. We all have experiences, but we don’t always learn. Reflection requires asking ourselves and God some questions. Never be afraid to look closely and ask tough questions.
I want to encourage you to be Prepared in 2019. For what? For whatever comes your way. Years ago, when a family member was fighting cancer the Lord spoke to their spouse and said, “Prepare like it was you who had the cancer”. We have the tools to always win in Christ.
I want to encourage you to See. Not just look but see. See what? The possibilities for 2019 and the answers that can be ours in 2019. If we can see it, we can have it. By faith we take hold of what we see.
God is a God of second chances, new possibilities and even resurrecting dreams from the dead. What God did for us in and through Christ can give us hope in any situation.
Our prayer for you is that 2019 will be your best year – so far!
1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
